Jack Capuano
Head Coach
Jack Capuano was named head coach of the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on April 30, 2007 and coached the team to a 40-36-1-3 record last season. Capuano is returning for his second season as the team's head coach and third year with the Sound Tigers.
He served as an associate coach in the 2006-07 season with the Sound Tigers. In the 2005-06 season, he served as an assistant coach for the Sound Tigers National Hockey League parent club the Islanders.
Prior to joining the Islanders, Capuano served as the head coach of the 2005 U.S. Under-18 Select Team at the Five Nations Cup in Slovakia.
From 1997 - 2005, the Rhode Island native was with the Pee Dee Pride of the East Coast Hockey League. As general manager and while serving several stints as head coach, Capuano led the Pride to a record of 312-206-52. In 1998-99, Capuano coached Pee Dee to a regular season record of 51-14-4, finishing as the regualr season champions and the team made it to the ECHL Final. The season prior, Capuano was the Team USA coach for the ECHL All-Star game.
Capuano, who turned 42 on July 7, began his coaching career in 1995 as an assistant coach with the Tallahassee Tiger Sharks of the ECHL after ending a pro playing career that included stints with the Boston, Vancouver and Toronto of the NHL and Springfield and Maine of the American Hockey League.
A First Team All American and First Team Hockey East selection in 1988, Capuano captained the University of Maine to a Hockey East championship and NCAA Frozen Four appearance.
Jack and his wife Donna have two children, a daughter Adriana and a son Anthony.

• Mike Morrison had a career year in victories (23)
• Jamie Fraser had a career year in goals (11), assists (13) and points (24)
• Kip Brennan tied the team record for most penalty minutes in a single game (45 – Eric Godard)
• Drew Fata had a career year in assists (11) and points (14)
• Frans Nielsen had a career year in assists (28)
• 15 players that started or joined the Sound Tigers during the season were recalled by the New York Islanders
